Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

Is caused by inflammation of the tiny filters in your kidneys. Glomeruli filter excess fluid, waste and electrolytes from your bloodstream and exit your body as urine.

Lupus

Is an autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your tissues and organs.

What do electrolytes include: Sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and chloride.

Dialysis Treatment

Dialysis is a blood purifying treatment for when the kidney is not functioning optimally as in the case of chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Kidney transplant

Kidney transplant is often the treatment of choice for patients with kidney failure as opposed to a lifetime of being on dialysis.

Anemia

Also referred to as low hemoglobin. This is a deficiency of healthy red blood cells to carry adequate amounts of oxygen to the body’s tissues.

Kidney Cyst

More often than not kidney cysts are a type called simple kidney individual cysts which are round sacks of fluid that form on or inside the kidney.

Kidney Stones

They are made up of hard crystal deposits comprised of minerals and salts that form inside your kidney tubules that grow over time.

Is a type of arthritis that causes inflammation of joints when there is an accumulation of urate crystals.
